Calendula & Plantain Salve - Williams Lake, BC

This salve is pretty special: not only is it made locally by one of our best Certified Organic market gardeners and seed producers, but they grow the calendula and plantain themselves. Doesn't get more local than that.

It's also great stuff. I use it a lot. In the winter, if my skin is getting dry because of the weather, I will legit use this on my face. After a shower and before bed, it feels great and my skin is super soft and hydrated in the morning. I also use it on my hands in the summer when they dry out from potting mix and work, especially if there are cuts.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) offers significant skin benefits, primarily due to its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. It effectively soothes sensitive or irritated skin, aids in healing wounds and burns, and provides deep hydration.

Plantain (Plantago major) is best known for its use in wound care. It contains a compound called allantoin which encourages cell growth and tissue regeneration. It soothes and moisturizes, especially tough to treat conditions like eczema.

INGREDIENTS: organic extra virgin olive oil, organic sweet almond oil, beeswax, organic calendula flower, organic plantain leaf, Vitamin E.

Best to use at night, it's going to leave your skin a bit greasy for a while until it absorbs.
