Sweet Italian bull's horn peppers

this variety is called Carmen, an Italian "bull horn" type pepper. Sweeter and more flavour than bells!

Carmen peppers are a hybrid variety of the corno di toro or Italian Bull's horn pepper. They are easier to grow than a bell pepper because they don't take as long and are not as fussy or disease-prone as a bell. So in our short growing season, we get more out of a Carmen, and I prefer the flavour: it's packed into a flesh that is not as thick or juicy as a bell so I find there's more of it! And since I love to chop and freeze sweet peppers for the winter, they hold better with less moisture.
